Join the Task Force on the Americas and SOA Watch Delegation to Venezuela. “Experience the energy, hope, creativity and controversy of the Bolivarian Revolution! For yourself!”

This 9-day delegation will be led by Lisa Sullivan, who has lived in Venezuela for over 20 years and is the Latin America Coordinator for SOA Watch. Participants will spend time both in the urban aread of Caracas and Barquisimeto, as well as in the rural area of Sanare in the foothills of the Andes. They will have the chance to meet with government and oppositions leaders, visit local communities to experience the many social programs, visit cooperatives, community television and radio stations, as well as dance to the rhythms of Afro-Venezuelan drums and soak up the beauty of a cloud forest. Cost: $1200, includes accomodations, meals, transportation, translation and honoraria for host communities, speakers and groups. It does not include flight to and from Venezuela.

Join the U.S./Cuba Labor Exchange in a Labor Delegation to Venezuela and Cuba!

The Delegation will be in Havana from Saturday April 12 to Saturday April 19, 2008. Its hosts will be the CTC Cuban Labor Federation. It will visit hospitals, schools, workers centers and meet social organizations. The Delegation will be in Caracas, Venezuela from Saturday, April 19 to Saturday April 26, 2008. Its hosts will be the Venezuelan Trade Union Federation (UNT). The Delegation will visit the Barrio Adentro project and the popular clinics. It will also visit the “educational misiones Sucre, Rivas and Robinson,” and the Centro Endogeno which comprises of co-ops of different industries, clinics and other projects financed by the Venezuelan Revolution.

The cost of the trip is $1,750.00, which includes: round trip airfare (from Cancun, Mexico to Havana, Cuba to Caracas, Venezuela to Cancun, Mexico ) hotel (double occupancy), 2 meals per day (breakfast and dinner), internal transportation to and from the program, translation, visas and the program. This cost of $1, 750 is good until the end of February, 2008, The price may increase for any application made after that date.

A group of trade unionists and workers are exercising their constitutional right to gather educational information and to have an exchange of ideas with other workers of the world. These rights are guaranteed by the US Constitution and by the International Human Rights declaration of the United Nations.
