paroots.org Blog is a revolutionary, Pan-African and International network, an aggregator and distributor of commentary, news, information and features by and about progressive and revolutionary governments, movements, organizations, activities and events in every corner of Africa, the African Diaspora, and the World. It seeks to create strategic alliances and links with other progressive and revolutionary bloggers, websites and webportals worldwide, in order to expand it’s content and reach.
Pan-African Roots was founded in 1968, by Bob Brown as a small, independent, revolutionary, Pan-African newspaper. Unfortunately, the demands of his movement work, and time and resource constraints, did not allow him to develop it as he had dreamed. But Bob, a small circle of co-workers like Banbose Shango, and a loyal base of supporters, kept the dream alive for four decades. Thanks to the revolution in computer and internet technology and software, we can now make that dream a reality!
As paroots.org Blog grows over the coming months, we will expand our range of commentary, news, information, features, and options. We invite you to subscribe, make a link, read us, send us your comments and criticism, let us know what you think and what you are doing, and how we can better serve your, the Movements’ and Oppressed Humanity’s needs.
Pan-African Roots is a 501c3, tax-exempt project of the Alliance for Global Justice. AFGJ is an umbrella organization that provides fiscal, office, and other services for a number of organizations including the Nicaragua Network and the Venezuela Solidarity Network. Pan-African Roots shares office space and staff with them in Washington, D.C. and also maintains an office in Chicago, Illinois.
